New Life Counselling have developed working relationships with a number of statutory bodies.  This includes Probation Service of Northern Ireland where we deliver counselling services to adults on probation, many of whom have complex needs.

New Life Counselling received a significant number of referrals from Social services including child and family teams, adolescent services and Gateway team.  We work with children with a wide range of issues some of this work is preventative and other work is supporting the child/family where children are considered at risk or are in the care of the local authority.

Psychiatric services also regularly refer clients for ongoing counselling.  These range from adults who are seeing psychiatrists and/or community psychiatric nurses for depression/anxiety/trauma to children accessing help from the child and family clinic for significant behavioural/emotional issues.  We also receive referrals for young people within adolescent mental health who are experiencing suicidal thoughts and or self-harming behaviours.
